Make a Gift to the
College of Engineering
Gifts from individuals, companies, and foundations provide the College of Engineering with the necessary resources to assure the vitality and growth of our educational and research programs. During fiscal year 2008, the College received $5.5 million in private contributions for a variety of programs.
Your gift may be designated to the department of your choice with the confidence that it will be used for the purpose you intended. In continuing our goal of excellence in teaching and research, the College has identified specific funding objectives:
- Support in the form of ongoing and endowed undergraduate scholarships to attract a diverse group of the best and brightest students.
- Endowment support to enable a greater percentage of UD students to participate in undergraduate research, study abroad, and service-based learning activities such as Engineers without Borders.
- Support in the form of ongoing and endowed graduate fellowships tailored to first-year students.
- Endowed Professorships and Endowed Chairs to attract the best and the brightest faculty and academic administrators.
- Support for a Strategic Initiatives Endowment that can be used for new projects and equipment.
- Funding for multidisciplinary research activities and core experimental facilities.
- Unrestricted support to meet the ongoing needs of the College of Engineering.
