Madison Gac

Madison is a senior majoring in civil engineering whose dream job is to become a bridge engineer. Alongside her coursework, also earning minors in sustainable infrastructure and geological sciences, she’s been doing research and field work on coastal infrastructure flood risk in Delaware.

Thomas is working on earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and robotics as part of a 4+1 program. After Prof. Ioannis Poulakakis inspired an interest in robotics during his “Control Systems” course, Thomas got the opportunity to do research in the Poulakakis lab, designing forward walking gaits for a bipedal robot.

Christina, an electrical engineering junior and member of UD’s golf team, was able to do a summer research project with her favorite instructor, Prof. Mark Mirotznik, where she built an automated system to measure the gain in radiation of antennas.

For the past two summers she’s done research in the lab of Prof. Leila Barmaki, where she’s developing and testing virtual and augmented reality applications for balance and lower limb rehabilitation.
