Dear Engineering Alumni and Friends
of the College

The first semester is drawing to a close and the holiday break is fast approaching, yet the desire to have an impact, close to home and around the globe, continues within the college.

Below are a few highlights for November:

	A first-of-its-kind symposium between the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Technion Institute in Israel fostered global partnerships.
	Outreach efforts sparked scientific curiosity in next generation engineers with a "family fun night" for middle school children, while Eng101 and a plastics chemistry demonstration from PlastiVan inspired area high school students about STEM careers.
	Engineering alumnus John Gooden, EG '88, was recognized Homecoming Weekend with the 2010 UDAA Outstanding Alumni Award, given annually for exceptional volunteer work on behalf of the University.

We gratefully acknowledge the community partners, alumni, faculty, staff, students, donors and friends who support our programs throughout the year. These efforts enhance the college's ability to train and educate future leaders.
