Engineering Broom Hockey

Sponsor: College of Engineering and Omega Chi Epsilon

What is Broomball? Read Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broomball. “In a game of broomball there are two teams, each consisting of six players, a goaltender plus five others. The object of the game is to score more goals than your opponent. Goals are scored by hitting the ball into your opponent's net using your broom. Tactics and plays are similar to those used in sports such as ice hockey, roller hockey and floorball.” The tournament will be a single elimination type (due to time constraint), with prizes (BrewHaHa! on Main Street) awarded to the first place team. Participants can sign up in advance by contacting Mark Stitz (stitzy@udel.edu) with team rosters (six people max), or sign up at the ice arena prior to kick off. Team member name and major information is needed for registration. All students of the University of Delaware are welcome to support the event by participating or watching! Food and refreshments will be provided.
