students & their parents -

designed for 7th-12th grade girls
(with a parent or guardian)

- How does the learning environment differ for girls?
- How can young women be empowered to pursue engineering careers?
- How can women interested in engineering connect with strong role models?
- What were some mountains engineering women have had to climb to get where they are today?
- What made it possible for UD's engineering women to scale new heights?
THE EVENING'S AGENDA :
- Enjoy pizza and networking practice
- Panel Discussion: UD engineering women, including Dr. L. Pamela Cook, Associate Dean for Women in Engineering and Professor of Mathematical Sciences & Chemical Engineering, plus other female engineering faculty and graduate students will share their career paths, while Outreach Coordinator Melissa Jurist will present the current "state-of-the-classroom" learning environment.
- Learn about women in engineering programs and organizations at UD
- Visit laboratories where engineering women will show you their research projects and then engage you in a hands-on engineering activity.
