November 28, 29, 30, 2007
University of Delaware (Newark Campus)
Course Description
Jerry DiMaggio, the instructor for this extremely practical course, is an internationally recognized geotechnical engineering specialist in both Allowable Stress Design (ASD) and Load & Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) principles of structural foundations and earth retaining structures. He presents the latest national geotechnical design guidance for structural foundations and earth retaining structures, based on the AASHTO LRFD Specifications, 4th Edition, 2007- specifications that will become federally mandated as of October 2007. A highly experienced specialist in adult education, Jerry effectively uses a combination of technical lectures, group and individual participant exercises, and discussion periods to optimize YOUR learning experience. Structural and geotechnical designers won’t want to miss this opportunity!
