Speaking as an Engineer to Non-Engineers
Course Date TBA
University of Delaware (Newark Campus)
Course Description
Combining lecture and discussion with practice and evaluation, this 2-day course helps you acquire the good presentation skills you need, especially when presenting to the general public at hearings, briefings, or community information events. You will work in teams, design, rehearse and deliver 10-minute presentations on technical topics, accompanied by slides that contain text and data, followed by a brief question/answer session. Everyone will receive peer, instructor and video feedback.
Who Should Attend
Practicing engineers from various specializations, especially those who must make presentations to non-engineering audiences.
"Based on my past experience, both oral and written communications need help ... This course is an excellent idea. Attendance should be mandatory!"
