American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

ASME is a national organization formed to provide mechanical engineers a forum in which to network, gain industry and business information, and share insight into current technologies. The University of Delaware has its own student chapter of ASME. Since the UD ASME chapter is working on the college level, the activities pertain more to the undergraduate.

ASME would like to become actively involved in all aspects of the mechanical engineering undergraduate and provide whatever resources necessary to ensure the retention of the department's students. In addition, ASME would like to create a low-stress, casual atmosphere where students can socialize and meet other people.
